The weather on Mt. Fuji changes frequently, and there is a temperature difference of about 10°C between the summit and the base.
As you approach the summit, the temperature drops and the cold intensifies.
Sudden rain or thunderstorms can also occur, so it’s important to be well-prepared and stay alert during your climb.
For reference, here are the elevations at various points on Mt. Fuji:

Mt. Fuji 5th Station: Elevation 2,400 meters

Hinodekan (7th Station mountain hut): Elevation 2,720 meters

Mt. Fuji Summit: Elevation 3,776 meters
What to wear / What to bring
① Warm clothes (protect against the cold)
② Gloves ※ These are necessary as the trail from Hinodekan onwards has many rocky areas.
③ If you are climbing at night, be sure to bring a flashlight and spare batteries.
Other Information
① We recommend that you wear rainwear that is separate from the ground. *You may get wet from the bottom up due to wind or splashes from the ground.
② We do not sell cigarettes or lighters.
In 2024, the private vehicle restriction will be in effect from Friday, July 5 at 6:00 PM to Tuesday, September 10 at 6:00 PM.
Please take a bus to reach the 5th Station.
